Gus Kittson Sr. created Kittson Salvage
Gus Kittson Sr. created Kittson Salvage, buying and reselling WWII electrical materials, out of an office on the south side of Kennewick Ave. between Cascade and Dayton (now antique shops).

Moved to 113 E Ave C, in a small building that is now half of the Kennewick Plumbing Showroom. Changed name to Kennewick Industrial and Electrical Supply Company.

Became incorporated in the state of WA. Gus Kittson Jr. began working at KIE Supply.

Opened Hermiston Electric & Plumbing Supply at its existing location 80484 US-395, Hermiston, OR.1980
Expanded Kennewick campus
Expanded Kennewick campus- purchased 122 E Columbia Dr. Decorative lighting showroom was moved to this building, more than quadrupling its size.November 1984

Gus Kittson Sr. passed away. His son Gus Kittson Jr. takes over as President of the company.1986

Preserving the home
Facilitated selling the home on our Kennewick property between HQ and what is now El Chapala, and paying for a house mover to move the entire home to Finley. KIE was honored by the City of Kennewick Historic Preservation Commission for taking the steps to preserve the home.1991
